Guruvaar Prarthna

Guruvaar Prarthna

Our Beloved Sadguru Sainath, please accept our humble prayers on this Holy Day of Guruvaar. Baba, sometimes we wonder the tasks given by you is as big as Himalayas and we don't have any clue on how to proceed further. Our material and intellectual resources are very limited and there is no light on sight. Yet we know single word taraka mantra 'Sai', we always remember that supreme mantra and as you assured, we await for your grace in removing all our shackles and making us free to achieve your tasks easily. Baba, on this holy day we start our prayers by reading your divine words in Shri Sai Samartha Satcharitra.

All this world of the elements and elementals, right from Brahman to a blade of grass is imaginary. It is this expanse of the world which is merely a creation of illusion.

The serpent, the garland of flowers, the stick, the current are considered to be a rope due to the ignorance of their real nature. Similarly, the entire expanse of the universe has no support in real nature.

All this world that is perceived is of the nature of illusion. This comes to an end on knowing reality, that is at the time of awakening caused by the words of the Guru.

On pondering over the meaning of the verbal form of 'GRINATI', the third person singular, the Guru alone is able to explain at the time of giving instruction to the disciple.

Therefore, let me pray to Baba "please introvert my senses. Give me discrimination and the ability to identify the transient from the eternal. Grant me too the gift of asceticism.

I am always an indiscriminating fool, obstructed by profound ignorance. My mind is always soaring on evil imagination and creates all these difficulties for me.

See to it that I have an unshakable faith in my Guru's words, which are as irrefutable as the revelations of the Vedas. Make my mind like a mirror so that it can receive Self-Knowledge.

Moreover, Sadguru Sainath, make me fully understand this knowledge, because without experience when one talks about it, it is mere prattle. Can that achieve the ultimate goal?

Therefore, Baba, with your power let me experience this knowledge myself, whereby I can easily attain liberation. Grant me these alms, I beg of you.

Consequently, O Lord Sadguru Sai, I offer my bodily pride to you. From now onwards take care of me as there is no self with me.

Take away my bodily consciousness so that I feel neither pain nor pleasure. Control me so that I act only in accordance with your wish.

Or, you become my ego yourself and take over all doer and enjoyership. Let me not have anxiety on that account.

I bow down to Sree Ganesh

I bow down to Sree Saraswati

I bow down to the Guru

I bow down to the Family Deity

I bow down to Sree Sita-Ramachandra

I bow down to Sree Sadguru Sainath.
