Lord and Master, teach me

to surrender totally to thee,

To let go and give myself completely,

To abandon all petty self-centered concerns

And dissolve my illusory sense of separateness

in the great sea of your omnipresence,

To ignite my life as a lamp

to illumine the world

With that ever-shining light

And to serve you by serving one and all—

And, by constantly remembering

and following thy example,

Let my life reflect thy wisdom

all day long.
